Effective immediately, and in order to ensure the safety of our drivers, vented fuel caps will not be allowed at Midwest Thunder events. This decision is based on significant fuel leaks that have been observed, videotaped, and reported over the past few weeks at our events, and also failures of the cap that have been communicated to us by other regions. Competitors will be expected to follow current Midwest Thunder rules regarding the fuel vent line: Fuel vent line must run out the left side of the car above the bottom frame rail, but no more than 1” above belly pan, must extend a minimum of 2” and be securely fastened.

For immediate release: Midwest Thunder Racing series is proud and excited to welcome Central Ohio Quarter Midget association to our racing family. After careful review by the MWT board, it was decided that adding Central Ohio to our family of clubs would be a good fit, and give us another great facility to race. Central joins MWT on a probationary period (WILD CARD RACE) while the board determines the best course of action for scheduling races in the future. According to President Larry McNulty, “It is an opportunity for our series to add another great club and grow our brand by adding more talented drivers. With the club being in such close proximity to our other tracks, it was easy to see the fit. We are always looking for ways to improve our series and we truly think this will add even more value and excitement”.
Central Ohio will be the first stop this season for MWT on April 13th and 14th. We look forward to seeing all of you at this nice racing facility for some awesome action!
